Functional Medicine Nutritionist
I have always been fascinated by the significant impact our food choices can have on disease prevention and management. My grandmother would always use food as medicine. I remember drinking guava-bell pepper smoothies, chewing on eucalyptus leaves, and inhaling pineapple infusions to fight off colds. As I grew older I began to question what was it about these foods that helped us heal and experienced first hand the impact our daily dietary choices play on our health. On my personal health journey, I’ve struggled with mold toxicity, SIBO, candida and dysbiosis and witnessed first hand the power of food and the importance of a holistic approach. This curiosity turned into an insatiable hunger to learn more about Nutrition.
“Be the change you wish to see in the world” is something I’ve always carried with me. It still surprises me how much of an impact a single person can make so I’ve made a commitment to myself to be true to my work and practice. The most rewarding feeling is seeing the positive impact you can have by leading from example.
