This is a space to share and grow under the light of Vedic Astrology, in Sanskrit “Jyotisha”
Jyotish or Vedic astrology, is an auxiliary branch of Vedic knowledge. It is based on the study of the zodiac taking as its fundamental axis the fixed stars or nakshatras. Jyotish, is translated as “science of light”, as it reveals the energetic impression of the infinite possibilities of the fixed stars and planets within the zodiac.
These energetic impressions determine our karmic experiences. “As above, so below,” we are the manifestation of the macro cosmos in this space-time, called planet Earth.
Jyotish is one of the six Vedangas or auxiliary branches for understanding the Vedic revelations. Actually, Jyotish encompasses more than the interpretation of a personal horoscope. The depth of this knowledge includes astronomical calculations, studies of atmospheric cycles, science of signals, and study of omens. Today most of the Vedic astrologers focus on the study of the natal horoscope or Jataka.
Although it is true, thinkers from both the scientific and spiritual worlds have spoken of the Vedas as the greatest legacy of ancient wisdom.
In order to perform the natal horoscope, birth data is necessary, among them, the exact time is very important, where we can determine the exact degree of the Ascendant.
The Ascendant is the zodiacal sign that was occupying the east direction at the time of birth or in a certain event. Which comes to occupy the first house in the configuration of the birth chart. The Ascendant will always be the main point of study and the starting point of evaluation of the chart, since it governs the physicality and life in general of the person, both their personality patterns and their circumstances.
Claudia Beatriz Pena David
I am a graduate of the Council of Vedic Astrology, obtaining the title Jyotish Visharada. I continue my studies in Vedic astrology through an extensive program created by Pandit Sanjay Rath, one of the most respected Vedic astrologers in India today.
I started teaching yoga at the age of 22, being a volunteer for the Art of Living Foundation, teaching the breathing techniques of said foundation to both young people and adults. Through this foundation, I had the opportunity to live in one of their Ashrams or spiritual centers for a year, where I delved into spiritual sadhana and the inner desire to grow under the legacy of the ancestral culture that the Vedas represent.
I am also a certified Yoga teacher, in Rishikeh India and through the Himalayan Institute. As formal studies, I am lic. in Marketing, with a master’s degree in business administration.
The experience of seeing the family pattern so marked that we bring in the astral chart, these ancestral memories being the root of many of our present blockages, has led me to currently take a training in family constellations.
Also seeking therapeutic continuity with people who have a Vedic reading, once seen the full panorama of circumstances shown by the Vedic chart, these tools of family constellations also allow me to be a companion for the person on their path of transformation. , helping to heal the shadows and let the natural light that has always been there shine and be free.
