Body Balance is a body work concept created by Isis Martinez. Its purpose is to optimize the functioning of the body, improving mobility, eliminating soft tissue restrictions (fascia, muscles, ligaments, tendons, etc.) and increasing the range of motion to increase flexibility.
The techniques we use in Body Balance are based on the premise that improper posture, physical and emotional stress, and gravity can throw the body’s vertical alignment out of balance. In addition, they contribute to the muscles and connective tissue -fascia- (which covers the muscles and connects them with the bones) to become rigid and lose their flexibility. These problems can later lead to more stress, back pain and other types of musculoskeletal ailments.

How is Body Balance performed?
Body Balance is a work with the body that summarizes a set of manipulations extracted from Isis Martínez’s training in deep muscle therapy, structural integration, neuromuscular therapy, myofascial release, myoskeletal alignment, zero balancing, among others. It includes the manipulations that have originated from the years of accumulated practice by its creator, for more than a decade.
All the applied techniques are aimed at restoring soft tissue flexibility, restoring the natural balance of muscle groups, tendons and bones.
To complement this, Body Balance also includes assisted stretching programs, specialized group exercise programs for structural conditioning, programs to increase flexibility, and specialized energy work programs to counteract stress.
